  • 1 egg
  • 1/2tbsp sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk (0.25cups)
  • 1tsp butter

    Cut the bread into bite-sized pieces.

    In a microwave-safe plastic bag, crack in the egg, add sugar and milk, and gently knead to combine. Add the bread pieces and coat well with the mixture.

    Place the bag on a microwave-safe plate (do not seal the bag), fold the top loosely closed, and microwave at 600W for 1 minute.

    Heat butter in a frying pan, then quickly cook the bread until golden brown on both sides. Serve with maple syrup if desired.
