Hearty Yakiniku Flavor, Yet Healthy! A Quick Dish with an Addictive Fragrance
This recipe recreates that power-packed yakiniku (Japanese barbecue) flavor using chicken breast!
This super easy recipe only takes 10 minutes: just slice the chicken breast thinly, rub in the special yakiniku sauce, and pan-fry.
The chicken breast turns out surprisingly moist and tender. The aromatic ground white sesame seeds added to the marinade will stimulate your appetite, making you reach for another bowl of rice! It’s not spicy, so kids can enjoy it, too!

Tips & Notes
・Chicken tenderloin or chicken thigh can be substituted for the chicken breast.
・For meal prep: freeze or refrigerate after the dish is completed.
・To reheat, place it in the microwave (without plastic wrap) and use the automatic reheat mode, if available.
・If pre-marinated and frozen, transfer it to the refrigerator to defrost naturally before reheating.
・I used a 10.2-inch (26 cm) diameter frying pan.
・Shelf life: 3–4 days in the refrigerator, 30 days in the freezer (including the pre-marinated freeze).
