Easy with Canned Yakitori and Microwavable Rice!
Easy and quick! Simply layer the ingredients and pop it in the microwave! Using pre-shredded cabbage sold at the supermarket allows you to easily add vegetables to your meal.

When scaling the recipe, the ratios of some ingredients may require slight adjustments. Adjust as necessary and season to taste.
- 1 pack microwaveable white rice (180g, about 6oz)
- 1 can canned yakitori (yakitori-kan, 75g, about 2.5oz)
- 1 egg (separated)
- 30g shredded cabbage (about 1oz)
- 40g shredded pizza cheese (mozzarella, about 1.5oz)
- Japanese mayonnaise (to taste)
- coarse-ground black pepper (to taste)

Warm the microwavable white rice according to package instructions.

Layer the shredded cabbage, canned yakitori, and cheese (in that order) on top of the warmed rice. Make a well in the center, and pour in the egg white.

Cover with plastic wrap or a lid and cook in a 600W microwave for 2 minutes. Top with the egg yolk, drizzle with mayonnaise, and sprinkle with coarse-ground black pepper.

Tips & Notes
・The egg white and egg yolk are separated to allow the white to cook thoroughly and the yolk to remain runny. (Also, heating the yolk in microwave cause an explosion!)
・Sprinkle with salt to taste to enhance the flavor.
