Protein Packed! Magical Nuggets That Taste Amazing Even Without Sauce
Introducing a healthy and delicious nugget that both children and adults will love!
These "Consommé Cheese Tofu Nuggets" uses plenty of ground chicken breast and firm tofu, making it packed with protein. Since it uses firm tofu (momen dofu), no draining is necessary, meaning no troublesome preparation!
The rich flavor of consommé and cheese penetrates every bite, so the nuggets taste exquisite even when eaten plain without sauce. Perfect for bento box side dishes or as a snack!

When scaling the recipe, the ratios of some ingredients may require slight adjustments. Adjust as necessary and season to taste.
- 9 oz ground chicken
- 5 oz firm tofu (momen dofu)
- 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
- A8 tbsp. shredded mozzarella cheese
- A3 tbsp. potato starch (katakuriko, or cornstarch)
- A2 tbsp. Japanese mayonnaise
- A1 tsp. chicken consommé powder
- A1 tsp. soy sauce
- A1/2 tsp. garlic paste (from a tube)
- Asalt and pepper, as needed
INSTRUCTIONS

Place the ground chicken, firm tofu, and all (A) ingredients (cheese, potato starch, mayonnaise, consommé, soy sauce, garlic, salt, and pepper) into a bowl. Mash the tofu and mix everything thoroughly.

Add 1 tbsp. of vegetable oil to a frying pan and heat over medium heat. Drop the mixture into the pan in bite-sized portions.

Once the bottoms are browned, flip the nuggets, cover with a lid, and steam-fry for 2–3 minutes. (If they look like they might burn, reduce to low heat.)

Once the inside is cooked through, remove the nuggets and place on a serving dish.

Serve with ketchup, if desired.
